Apogee designs, develops and manufactures support products for clients in the biotechnology, industrial and automotive industries. We offer seamless transition from design to production and produce on a ship-to-stock basis. Core manufacturing processes include machining, plastic molding, fabrication, and complex component intensive assembly.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Started in engineering so designing and manufacturing products was a natural transition. I was on the Dean's 'Other List' so I had to start a company.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We design well over 90% of what we manufacture. The corollary is that we can manufacture what we design. We produce on a private label basis for many well known companies. Apogee specializes in the integration of many components into a complete product for customers looking for between 50 and 200 unit production lots.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location and we are expanding.
