How long have you been in business?
Shabazz martial arts has been in business for 3 years
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Martial - Cation The study of martial arts through education. Many school curriculum’s that were designed for students to express themselves like art, music, home etc., have been deleted from school programs due to either lack of funding, or uncertified teachers not qualify to teach the state program. Many have been drop by the waist side due to the pay cut in teacher salaries. Many of the youth today are misunderstood by their aggressive behavior of action to express themselves. Recreation centers like P.A.L. and Boys & Girls Club sometime depending on geographic location are forced to close due to budgeting reason. The youth today are basically force to deal with situations of the world that some adults couldn’t even mentally digest. Many are face with commuting on public transportation within itself can be dangerous, Between home and getting to there destination is a everyday battlefield, most every other block is drug - dealing, strung out drug users, passing through imaginary gang territories, and the biggest thing no one knows what that child is enduring at home. Now, let’s put all of that into perspective that child could blow at anytime, then everyone would say what happen, The communication gap between the generations has to be bridge in order for us all to understand there behavior. Some act out due to fear, peer - pressure, trying to find self identity. Shabazz Martial Art’s has develop a systematic curriculum that teaches how to respect other as well as yourself, tutors to help with homework, our goal is to raise a grade level each semester if a child grade point average is C by the end of the school year we try to upgrade to at least B+. We offer help for the trouble subject’s to catch them up to class speed, Education is our first promotion of learning, students also have to maintain a passing average and also good behavior has to be maintain at home as well as school. Mentoring program also available, anti - bully program, Weight - loss program, martial arts, boxing, cardio kickboxing is all part of the curriculum to help them develop mentally as well as physically, these are just some of the things that they can carry through out life. Mid term, and progress reports must be seen by Shabazz Martial Arts. All programs have a reward and discipline system. Mission Goal Promote good scholastic grades Self respect Learn how to deal with bully situations mentally before it reaches a physical encounter How to deal with peer pressure that today’s teen are face with Each student will learn how to defend them selves How to respect others
