How long have you been in business?
I have been in the business 11 years full time.Most captains in the bay work a full time job on land and run a charter boat part time.Would you want to have open heart surgery by a part time surgeon? The same is true when picking a charter boat.
What is your primary product or service?
My business is taking people fishing and crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have worked the water commercially before starting the charter boat business.I enjoy taking people out on the bay and showing them a good time.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I run crabbing charters as well as fishing charters.I run three hour trips as well as six and eight hour trips.We specialize in children's fishing trips. We run two charter boats
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We run two charter boats in the Baltimore area.I did expand to four boats but I could not personally meet all my customers and insure that every trip was run to my standards.Some times bigger is not always better.
